So this week we began an evangelism event at the Montreux Jazz Festival. After praying about it the first day there i became overwhelmed with all of the darkness and evil that was there. I asked God how our group could ever reach these people.
Boy was i wrong. I joined the prayer group thinking that it would be more like the backbone of the whole event and not really expecting to do a whole lot of one on one talking to strangers. Also wrong. After being frustrated almost to tears every night, i entered tonight not feeling very well but with a hopeful spirit. After being prayed for several times during the evening, by the time our group started things off i was feeling great. After some prayer i really felt God telling me to just have a fun night and be apart of the crowd and talk to people there. So i went with 2 other girls who felt like they should stand back and support me in talking to people.
Tonight i got to speak spanish with 2 columbians, pray with 2 other people, and dance with a little french girl named juliana. God really moved tonight through me, and in that i feel so fulfilled. Sharing God's message with people and watching their faces is a truly incomparable moment.
Yes i have struggled here and yes this is very stretching, but God is meeting me in those things and showing me that he is faithful.
Thank you for your prayers. I have learned the power of prayer even more this week than ever.
