These pics are taken near Kakrola village in Dwarka, New Delhi on the Panchami of of Durga Puja. These craftsman are making these statues of the mythological character Ravana at a large scale here. As the custom goes the end of Navratra is celebrated by burning the Ravana Idol as that is understood to be the triumph of Lord Rama who stands for good over Ravana who stands for Evil.
The Ramlila committees of various colonies would probably be buying the ravana idols from these craftsman. There were at least 300-400 idols under preparation.
